Not sure what to say?

Wishing peace for Father David and his family. Everyone I know loved him so much. Such a special person. I will always remember how he smelled of cherry cough drops, made us giggle on the altar, and brought mass and the love of God to all levels of believers. He will be so greatly missed.

Sincere condolences to Fr. David's family and brother priests. I loved his Masses and homilies at Enders Island and he enhanced my life in the short time I knew him. I was shocked to hear of his passing only today. I believe I may have been the "walk-by" confession he heard on the day the Lord called him home. He was so consoling and helpful that day, May he Rest in Peace.

The members of KofC Assembly#1915 send heartfelt sympathy to the family of our Brother and longtime Assembly Chaplain. May he rest in peace.

Thank you Father LeFort for answering your vocation with a ..yes...parish priests are a rarity and their duties multiplied ....rest in peace..you earned.

We will never forget Fr. David´s kindness and sense of humor. He always made our family feel welcome, and would joke with my kids after Mass. They thought it was great that a priest could be funny. Our deepest condolences to Fr. David´s family and loved ones.

And deepest condolences to all of Fr. David´s family and loved ones.

I had the privilege of working for Fr. David when he hired me to be Director of Cathedral Social Services and Food Pantry in 2018. He was a wonderful priest and an inspiration to so many in the communities he served. Such a true spiritual and compassionate man. I still have the Christmas cards he sent me each year, with the wonderful wishes he wrote in them.

Sad to hear of the passing of Fr LeFort, a very special priest and friend. His knowledge and wisdom on the board of the Teresian House was a learning experience, but more important was his friendship and guidance, particularly during a difficult time of my wife´s illness. It was invaluable. He was so kind to preside over Edie´s funeral mass, and just be there for all of us. We love you Father and you will be missed but we will carry on with the great memories of having engaged with you. Love...

This is truly a very sad event for such a young, talented, and accomplished priest, as well as for the rest of us. I am sure Father LeFort is with the Lord at this very moment. God Bless Him and his family.
