David J. Leveille

I met David when we were students at RIT and he was instrumental in getting me interested in photography, a hobby I still pursue today. He helped me purchase my first Nikon, and we drove around endlessly taking photographs. Of course his were always much better than mine, but he always encouraged me and his praise meant a lot.
Speaking of driving, I can remember riding with him in an old broken down delivery truck that only had a chair for a passenger seat and all the engine lights...

I only have fond memories of David ~ he was incisively witty, uniquely intelligent, and ALWAYS interesting... I'll remember him for many things ~ the Halloween parties at the Panorama Trail studio, the photograph of the egg and the bullet, his never-ending quest to invent things, ice cream cones out by the airport as the landing planes roared overhead, the stories of his battles with the City of Rochester (told only the way David could tell them), and his love of flying ~ there is no one on...

David has a special place in my heart.I am so grateful for his help & kindness when I was being treated for leukemia.I'll remember him always. Kathy Betts, Plattsburgh, N.Y.
