Not sure what to say?

I´m very sorry to hear of David´s passing. I got to meet him at the Balloon Ranch a LONG time ago. I knew him when I was flying in Boulder where he asked me to house sit for him while he went to fly gas balloons in Austria! What an adventure! I´m not sure what made me think of him just now, maybe nostalgia? What a nice man he was.

saddened to hear of this loss. Was privileged to have met David as an official in the competition HAB world since 1988- RIP in the skies yonder..

There's less energy on the earth without David. As one of the Original BR employees I got to watch the beginning of the passion for Ballooning. This is Sad.

RIP to a someone who taught me about having a true passion-for-life sensibility. This guy was a stud. Here is his bio story from a 1993 Sports Illustrated piece: https://www.si.com/vault/1993/06/14/128741/the-high-and-the-mighty-david-levin-doesnt-have-an-inflated-sense-of-himself-its-just-that-hes-won-balloonings-biggest-events

In 1990, the first year the Nationals were in Baton Rouge, David, already a top competitor, ran a competition school, the Red Dog School, to share his secrets and methods to help other competitors. The first and only time I know of that a top competitor publicly shared their techniques to help others. He was a very generous and enthusiastic person. Tom Osborne

David was a shinning light in this world.
