Not sure what to say?

To the Leyva family. .. I'm so sorry for your loss. I just read Dominique's FB message and was sorry to hear this news. David was a friend to my family, first my dad in the war years and then my friend and neighbor when you were all still in school. My best to you all.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

A proud member of Mt.Charlie Chapter E Clampus Vitus, Dave has joined his brothers in the Golden Hills. "Who hears the door that closes, when they've gone beyond our call? Like loosened leaves of roses, one by one our bothers fall." What say the Brethren?

I'm sorry to read about David Leyva recently passing away. I went to school with his son, Doug, and his daughter, Danette, in the past. I send my condolences to them and the rest of the family.

I came to know of Dave's character, influence and accomplishments, and I had the honor of briefly meeting him. May we all strive to live as nobly as he. Well done, soldier.

My deepest sympathy and prayers our with the Leyva family. Treasure forever the memories of both your wonderful parents always and keep them close too your hearts.

THE BEST GUY I EVER MET. I WAS PROUD TO BE ONE OF YOUR TROOPS.THANKS FOR EVERTHING TOP.

I for one don't know what we would have done without Grandpa opening his big heart and letting us in. We love and miss him.

A wonderful man in SO many ways, I'll miss him! What a legacy of service and community he has left for us all. My heart is with the family.
