Sue, it was heartbreaking to read of your loss of Dave - it still is. But it's wonderful to remember his smile, wit and humor, graciousness and then his extraordinary competence.

I regret that I was unable to attend Dave's memorial service. I met Dave in 1985, when I was hired by Ferguson & Burdell. I enjoyed working with Dave. He was intelligent, witty and professional. Dave was a joyful man, had a cool head and was very fun to have around the office. I was fortunate to have run into Dave quite a bit in the past two years. I will miss him.

Sue: I was unable to attend the memorial for Dave but have been thinking about you, Dave and your family. You were a wonderful couple and bring back many happy memories of times at Ferguson & Burdell. Prayers to you and your family.

Like a number of his friends and colleages, I go back to his days at the Ferguson and Burdell law firm. Dave had it all - and put it together so well! He had all those wonderful qualities of humor, humility, compassion and wisdom that make for such a good husband and father - besides being an outstanding lawyer! Sue, we just returned this week from most of a month in Europe and are trying to move into a new house in Port Angeles and will miss the Broadmoor reception for his many, many...

When you buy a home, you always wonder what your next door neighbor will be like. For the last 23 years, Anita and I shared many wonderful times with Dave and Sue watching our children, all close in age, go off to the first day of school, play in sports, learn to drive, become great students, graduate from high school, and then from college. We analyzed Husky successes and failures; took the kids to games and scouts, and managed some great theme parties together as couples. It didn't...

Dave was one of those extraordinary people who always made you feel as if you were the best friend he ever had. He was certainly one of mine in our youth.

I went to school with Dave from 7th grade
through the U. W. Even though we were never really close, I always knew he was one of the good guys and felt him to be a friend. I remember dancing with him at Jr High dances when you feared no one was going to ask you; and then, he reached out to me when we were both new freshmen at the overwhelming U of W. I have always remembered his kindness. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing. I too, send my most heartfelt thoughts and wishes...
