David J. Longe

Mr. David Long was my teacher at Saint Juliana in Detroit. He did a great job. My love and prayers go out to his family. Colleen.

Mr. Longe was a favorite teacher at St. Juliana where I attended in the early 70´s. He was much beloved. One of my fondest memories is that he shared his love of music with us. He turned us on to `Traffic´! God bless him and prayers for his loved ones. RIP Mr. Longe

I was a student of Mr. Longe for 7th to 8th grade (2002-2004). He´s the one who sparked my interest in history and had a system in place for any who just couldn´t do tests to make up with small paper assignments pertaining to each chapter. But my favorite memory was this: Mr. Longe had a tendency to throw books that were not subject matter to the class into a corner of the room and growl to get out the proper book. Dave was a very special person. I was the person who "pushed" into his classroom every day to teach. He welcomed me and often asked if there was anything that I needed. Sometimes I felt a bit jealous of Dave because all the kids LOVED him. But if you knew Dave, you knew he was kind, humouous, patient, smart and loving. Thank you, Dave, for all that you gave St. Francis, the kids and all of us with whom you worked. May you rest eternally in God's arms.
