Not sure what to say?

It has been a decade, but I think of you nearly every day. One of your owls is here, and copies of your massive work. Your scholarship and your generosity live on and will continue to. Among the finest guys I've ever known. I trust we'll meet again someday.

Hi my friend. You are still missing. I lost a great friend and still sad about this. Have a good time whereever you are and keep a smile for your friends.

Remembering you nine years after your passing. Thanks for everything, David. Such a fine friend.

I was blessed to have worked with David at Santa Fe. I have always had a lot of respect for him both personally and professionally. He was a great man. I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

What a unique friend David was. He helped me so much with our mutual hobby of grave hunting and history. I will never forget his incredible generosity, and will forever feel fortunate to be counted as one of his friends.

One of my best friends passed away. Unbelievable. David, thanks so much for friendship. You support me for years, so as I support you. I will never forget you.

David was always helpful to me. He had a wealth of information that he shared with me. I will always appreciate the grave hunts we went to in the Dallas area. I learned so much from you.

He has helped me with research beyond description over many years. The good this kind person did, and the immense preservation of history he accomplished, will live on to inform and enlighten many generations of scholars.

How many, many times you sent me the obituaries from this paper to read and now it is yours. Still so hard to believe.
