David A Luce 46 of Scotch Plains died on Sunday June 19 2011.
Born in Plainfield, Dave grew up and lived in Scotch Plains his whole life.

Dave was a 1983 graduate of Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, in September of 1986
Dave was hired by the Westfield Police Department and in December of the same year graduated
the Union County Police Academy. In 1988 Dave Graduated Union County College with an
Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. He transfered to the Scotch Plains Police Dept. in July of
1990 and was promoted to Sergeant July of 2006. Dave was the Supervisor of the Computer
Records Bureau of the Scotch Plains Police.

Surviving are his Loving wife Terri (nee McGovern) and sons Kevin and Andrew.
Mother Bernice E. (nee Shimalla), Father Robert A. and wife Ginny,
Brother Robert, sister Judi and Brother in Law Edward McGovern.
And his extended family Jerry Ricciardelli and Johanna and Anthony Tittanegro.

Funeral Mass on Friday June 24 at 10:30 am at St.Bartholomew the Apostle Church also Scotch Plains.
Interment Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
Visitation will be on Thursday June 23 2-4 and 7-9 at the Rossi Funeral Home 1937 Westfield Avenue
Scotch Plains.

When I heard this it was shocking. Luce and Lake , we graduated together in 83' and had homeroom together through high school. Great guy, continued prayers for his family.

No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. Our deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.

With heavy hearts Maryann and I send our deepest condolences to The Luce family. Dave was a first rate person, he will be greatly missed. Dave will be in our prayers.
