Not sure what to say?

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Doodles. I met him about 20 years ago down at the Menchville Marina store. He sure was a character. I know he will be missed by all who were close to him.

I met Capt. Doodles on the water working for Harrison's Pier in Norfolk. As the years passed and things changed Capt. Doodles remained a fixture of the waterfront. There probably isn't anything about working the water that Capt. Doodles didn't know. He touched many lives and will be rememered for his zest for life, his work ethic, and his love for the water. Capt. Doodles meant many things to many people-I will remember him as a fellow charter boat captain and a proud father and grandfather....

Please accept our deepest sympathies, Doodles will be deeply missed.

Rest in Peace, Doodles. You will live on in our hearts. God Bless.

Our hearts go out to you at this time and in the days ahead.

Sure going to miss your Dad. I grew up with him and remember a lot of the good times we had shared. Yes, he lived life to the fullest and nothing stood in his way. Nothing. Be proud of him, as I am proud of the very special cousin I have just lost. He was a special person and I know he is at peace. Love you all and may God Bless You.
