DAVID LURIE

I´m very sorry about Dave´s passing, and especially apologetic that I just found out about it. Dave and I became friendly as Newton baseball parents during those wonderful years when my boys were on those great Newton All Star teams with his son Mitch. Dave rarely missed a game. It was a testament to his character that despite our opposite politics he befriended me nonetheless. He was a very nice fellow and I always enjoyed his company. I will remember Dave with fondness. We miss this ebullient man...

We are so sad to have lost such a great friend. Dave was a role model for integrity, fairness, modesty, thoughtfulness, decency, intelligence, humor, kindness and fitness. He was a gentle soul and a highly accomplished person who always made his friends and family feel loved. We will miss him forever but he will live on in our hearts. Neil Epstein and Joanne Dixon

Dave was a wonderful man; he was a dedicated, caring father and dear friend to many. He will be remembered fondly by those who knew him and his kindness will remain known through his children and grandchildren. My deepest condolences to his family.
