David Luzio

I was one of Dave´s original 16 band members at Carroll High School when he arrived in 1970. Dave had a plan and the energy to back it up. I graduated in May of 71 and began bouncing around the world but was able to keep in touch with his exploits and it didn´t surprise me a bit. He was Just a tremendous motivator of young people (and I was no easy "sell"). I keep a set of drums set up in my basement and I can´t help but setting down and hammering out an old 1970 Carroll cadence. That...

Dave was a true friend and a support for me at Carroll High School. Dave truly made the admin meetings bearable for me more times than I can count. I also know his music legacy is still very strong at CHS as it should be. He was a fighter but may he now rest in peace.

In my early carreer as asst. band director at Edgewood HS in Trenton, we were in the same football league with Carroll and also competed in the Mid States Band Association. Luzio was on fire as a band director! So dynamic and impactful in 1984. He was an inspiring leader. Rest in Peace Dave.
