Not sure what to say?

Dear Maehr Family,
I never met David, but from all that I had read in the Herald-Leader about his work with the Florida panther, black bears, and reintroducing elk to Eastern Kentucky, he sounded like the kind of mans man I think I would like to have known. Today, I unknowingly chatted with his son, and from what Cliff told me with admiration for his father, I now KNOW I would have enjoyed knowing David.
At table grace tonight, my wife and I placed you in our prayers. Please...

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Maehr Family. We have heard many wonderful stories of times Mason Smoak and Dr. Maehr explored the area in Lake Placid, FL.
God Bless You.

The loss of David and Mason is felt by so many people. Dave was passionate about his work and we enjoyed his many visits to Lake Placid. Our love and comfort to the entire Maehr family in the days to come.
