Not sure what to say?

You had a great life ahead of you. Rest in peace.

I was visiting Charlottesville when this tragedy happened.

Dear Friends,

Thank you so much for the thoughts, prayers and loving support.

In reading these entries it is clear that the magic of Dave Magoon was that he touched so many.

It is very clear after a year without David that he has had a deep impact on so many. Why so obvious?
Because each of these messages have a piece of David's kindness and caring.

Thank you all for being such special friends.

Always,
Uncle Dave

I continue to think of David and the Magoon family's strength and energy.

David was and continues to be an inspiration.

His generocity and loving nature had the power to change his environment...and it continues.

Loving thoughts,
Rachel

It’s strange how you need not know someone very long or very well, and yet they can be a constant source of strength. I knew David only a short time at HMS yet my thoughts reflect on him often. When I left HMS he wrote me the most sincere e-mail which I consult every time life gets difficult.
Many can speculate what a great physician David would've been, but I know, for he has healed me and continues to inspire me.

My name is Mayre. I met David in Valencia. It was the first week of my program and I kept running into this incredibly handsome guy in the UVA program. We quickly became close friends and had countless fun days and crazy nights. I would go with him to visit his host family even after he moved out; he made sure to find the time to spend with them. They loved him and so did I. He was one of my best friends during that year. He always spoke so highly of his family and how much he looked up to...

My name is Joe Quinn.
I met Dave in Valencia, where I was living along with my close friend Jamey.
The three of us quickly became inseparable friends.
Dave's infectious energy and friendliness knew no bounds, and his personality was magnetic. People simply loved being around him.
And Dave loved people so much. His kindness touched everyone he knew, and to be his friend meant having someone you knew you could always count on for anything.
His adventurous spirit and his...

Chris (Jeff’s little brother) met Dave for the first time when we took a family trip up to Boston to see Jeff (dear friend, roommate and medical school colleague). We were all walking along the street when Jeff acknowledged a young man who smiled so BIG at us that you immediately took a liking to him. He walked up to Chris and said “Hi” then gave him such a huge hug that Chris wasn’t quite sure what to make of it. But when Dave let go, Chris had this expression on his face that told the whole...

Dear Elbert and Martha:
Yo he sido amiga de David en Valencia, cuando me entere del horrible suceso no me lo podia creer, esto ha sido tremendamente doloroso entre todos sus amigos de Valencia.
Estamos con vosotros compartiendo este dolor tan grande.Os teneis que sentir muy orgullosos de vuestro hijo.
David es sin duda una de las mejores personas que he conocido nunca y me ayudo personalmente a ver la vida de otra manera.
Siempre le recordaremos y estara en nuestros rezos.
