My wife and I were very sad to hear of Dave's passing. Dave gave me a couple of my first big breaks in management at MetLife almost 30 years ago, and his patient and cordial mentoring helped prepare me for what became a long and rewarding career with MetLife in Canada and the U.S.. Although it had been many years since I transferred to the U.S., and since we had last spoken, I will always be grateful to him for giving me those opportunities. He was a true gentleman.
