Not sure what to say?

David was simply one of the best human beings I have ever met. I miss him.

2024-A Mallery Centennial? Let’s plan something somewhere.

David came up in conversation this morning at Abington Friends School, when we had an "Educators New to Quakerism" refresher. I was part of David's final seminar (I think it was called "The Experienced Teacher?) over 12 years ago, and a colleague of mine had done something with David and Pendle Hill. And when we mentioned him to Deborra Sines Pancoe (who was leading the workshop), our head of school, Rich Nourie, jumped into the conversation. Everyone had such wonderful memories of David. ...

In the wake of the recent passing of David's wife Judith, I send my condolences to Roger and Diane. Between them, Judith and David provided love and support to generations, at Germantown Friends School and beyond. Judith taught me music when I was a wee snifter in awe of her presence, her kindness, her beauty.
Hard to believe it's been 11 years since David left us, Though I'm retired, David's presence and inspiration guide me as I home school my 7 year grandson through the Covid-19...

I met David when I was just entering the education world. He showed me that being sincere, loving and caring was the only way to do this job. He taught me to forgive and to look for the best in others. He was one of the best role models I've ever had. He cared for me like a son. I am now in my 23 year as an educator and to this day.....David is one of the main reasons why I chose to stay in. I still think of him often and pray for the family.

Please keep the Legacy of David mallery on line! He will continue to gather loving comments from his students from GFS, Westtown Seminars and other places.

I am now 74 and just beginning my new career as Direcor of the Wildcats Write! program at Bethune Cookman University, an historically back university in Daytona Florida. I love my students in the way David loved all of us. I can still see him looking directly at me over a lunch table in his favorite restaurant in Chestnut...

The peruvian family Núñez Carvallo give the condolence to the family of David Mallery

From the first day I met David at an NAIS conference in 1975 he has been an inspiration and a role model, always thoughtful, exuberant and encouraging, always seeing the best in me with a genuine confidence that said "of course you can do it, and do it well". The week with him at Westown in 1976 (with Willie Unsoeld and Asparagus Valley Cultural Society and Douglas Heath and "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie") was a life-changing experience. David's encouragement gave a blessing to my...

Perhaps the most delightful three hours I ever spent was in having a wonderful tomato soup and sandwich lunch with David on his wonderful terrace late last spring. David had generously offered to meet with Harvey Zendt and me, as we brainstormed ways in which the two of us could give something back to the independent school world that had so completely blessed us in our own 75+ years of experience in a number of schools.
As always, David was lavish in his praise for what we intended to...
