Not sure what to say?

Dear Kory, Anna, Carson and Emma:
We all send our love and prayers. We wish we could be there in person to give you all hugs. Your dad was such a fun loving guy, and we're so glad you were by his side in life and in death. He will remain by your side forever.

Love, Mike, Joan and Todd Carpenter

To the Children of Dave Maness,
I first met your dad when we were both 9 yrs old. We played baseball together for the Waterson Boys club. We played together until we were in the Midget division, then we parted. I lost contact with your dad after that and haven't seen him since. I too am a retired firefighter. Dave was our catcher and I played 3rd base.I had many memories to this date of our times on the field. I am deeply sorry for your loss and my "friend" Dave. Its times like this...

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

All you have to do is read the previous messages on this board and look at Kraig, Kurt, Krista & Kory to see what amazing people Dave & Judy were.

I played softball with Krista from youth through college and my brother played with Kory, so we have a lot of good memories with the Maness Family.

Probably one of the funniest times with Dave was when he brought all these cheap, noisy kazoos to an out-of-town softball tourney and handed them out to our fans. We ended up beating...

When I was a child, he was Mr. Maness; as an adult, he was Dave. I will never forget the times spent at Salem Lutheran Church working on all the Men’s Club activities (dinners, BBQ’s, Christmas tree lot), playing golf (especially the men’s club trip to Columbia Mo.) and even going deer hunting. There are so many stories to be told and re-told – all of them are true (mostly!) and pure Dave!

My hope is that Dave is playing pinochle with Dad and Jerry, and that Schultz nuzzles him all...

What a great man Dave was. I know how very proud you all are of him. He will be greatly missed by our family. I (Gina) will especially miss the big kiss I got every time I saw him. Our prayers are with your family.

Dave was full of life. He could make you smile all the time, even when my wife hit his mirror outside of school. He never got angry, just a smile and always gave me trouble about it whenever he saw me. You should be very proud of your parents for all that they did. they werea good roll-model for a lot of people. My sons went thru school with some of you and your parents were always there to help if needed. I thank God that I knew them!

I'll always remember your dad being at our softball games and helping me with my throws down to second base. He was one-of-a-kind! My prayers are with your family.
