David Arthur "Dave" Mariman

Dave was a great friend with whom I bicycled thousands of miles, one year we each rode over 10,000 miles with the Portland Wheelmen Touring Club. He called me "Rocket Girl," which he had engraved on a bike tool. We co-led a ride from Seattle to Vancouver B.C. for the PWTC. Sometimes a group of us would get together and play cards.

We grew up next door neighbors. Swam together in his pool. Dave was very competitive. Whatever you could do, he could do it better. Great friend to grow up with. His brother Paul was a fantastic diver and an inspiration to all.m

Dave was my "little brother' and I knew him from birth to his death.My children were more like siblings to him and they all have great memories. Since I retired we were much closer and took trips together and shared a lot of our lives . I will miss him very much but he is now in a better place, after these last two years of slow decline. Be at peace "lil Bro". Love you you so much.

Dave was a good honest man with a kind heart. May the wind always be to his back and his sails full. I'm happy that he and Jeannie got to share some remarkable adventures.

I rode many thousands of miles with Dave over the years. When he was driving for Tlr Tri-Met and would pass us on a ride he would stop the bus, open the door, and say hi.
