Not sure what to say?

I'LL NEVER FORGET DAVE, AND LEONOR, YOU CAN BE SURE I'LL NEVER FORGET YOU. HOPE LIFE IS GOOD FOR YOU UP IN OREGON. -- PATRICK MURPHY

I REMEMBER DAVE FONDLY. HE HELPED ME WHEN I WAS JUST STARTING -- AS DID LEONOR -- AND AFTER THAT, OFTEN THROUGH THE YEARS. THERE WAS NO "STAR" SYSTEM IN THOSE DAYS, OR BOTH WOULD HAVE HAD PLENTY. I ALSO REMEMBER LEONOR TALKING OF "MOLLY McGEE" AND "NAILS" -- AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, PRAYING FOR ME.
-- WITH GRATITUDE, PATRICK MURPHY

I didn't know David long but he touch my heart right away. He is so missed, mostly by Leonor. Anyone that knew him was blessed. There will always be a place in my heart for David and Leonor. You will never be forgotten. Lots of hugs always.

I came to know David because I worked with Leonor at the Mercury News and we became good friends. David had already retired by the time I began working there.

David was one of the nicest people anyone could ever know. A very kind and gentle soul. David always welcomed me into his home and I will never forget his kindness, his hospitality and how comfortable he made you feel.

I loved David's quiet sense of humor. Sometimes he'd just get this one particular funny grin on his face...

LEONOR --
Very saddened to hear about Dave. He "saved my bacon' many times in pre-PC days with his programming wizardry. Not to mention his congeniality. Last but not least, he stood out in Composing by being always a gentleman.

David was one of the nicest people in the composing room: always generous, always smiling, always helpful. With Lenore lighting up everyone's life with her smile, they spread joy. I am so sick with grief for Lenore. I know what this is like. Please know, Lenore, that we love you and pray for you.

So sorry to hear this news
It was listed in the Mercury here in California
My thoughts and prayers are with you
Aida Ramirez

Our memories, thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family Lenore. We will remember David fondly.
The Peter I. Ramirez family (Delia, Aida, Tony, Mark, Paul and Rudy)

I knew Dave and Lenore from our MN days, even back in the long-ago days when they were linotype operators. A lovely man, always with a friendly smile and kind words. And, the proud "parents" of Fanny Farkle the dog.
