Not sure what to say?

My husband and I were traveling through Birmingham to Florida and he told me about a friend of his from Birmingham from his army days that served in Korea so I looked it up on google and found this obituary. He knew David´s family owned a bakery and when I read this, it seemed too much of a coincidence. Is it possible that he served as a dog handler in Korea in 1968 and 1969. It seemed they had some great times together. My husbands name is Ray Kastning from Woodstock, Illinois. I am sorry...

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

I did not know David, but grew up enjoying treats from Marsh Bakery on 3rd Avenue West. I mostly remember their amazing cream puffs and Danish pastries. I remember they always took the time to talk to me, as a child, and I always felt special. I am so sorry for your loss.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. Thank you Donut for the great memories Marsh Bakery gave thousands of us
