David R. "Norton" Martin, 59, died at 4:10 p.m. March 15, 2012, at his residence. He was born July 16, 1952, in Lima to Clinton C. and Mary Ann Frank Martin, who preceded him in death. On Dec. 15, 1974, he married Carole J. Lyons, who survives in Lima. Mr. Martin was a 1970 graduate of Lima Senior High School. He retired in 1996 as owner of C&D Supply and had worked at Curtis Industries, Cleveland. He was a loving husband and father and was a great friend to many people. He loved to spend time outdoors, especially fishing and camping. He enjoyed working on projects and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered most for his positive outlook on life and his great sense of humor. Survivors also include three sons, Joseph A. Lyons, of San Antonio, Christopher P. (Kimberly A.) Martin, of Corona, Calif., and Jerry "J.D." Martin, of Findlay; a daughter, Melissa R. (James) Chamberlain, of Wapakoneta; two grandsons, Tyler Stauffer, of Wapakoneta, and Jared Lyons, of California; four brothers, Dan (Linda) Martin, of Wapakoneta, Tony (Lisa) Martin, of Sidney, Harry (Amanda) Martin, of Wapakoneta, and Bill (Sue) Martin, of Findlay; three sisters, Angie (Ralph) Brown, of Wapakoneta, Becky Martin, of Kenton, and Renee (Rodney) Conoway, of Wapakoneta; and several nieces, nephews and close friends. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Shawnee Chapel. The Rev. Ronald C. Boyer will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
