David Scott Martin, age 55, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Janis Trail Martin and his brother, Michael Martin.


He is survived by his brother, Rick Martin and his wife Kathie; sister, Tori Cliff and her husband Brad; nephew, Brad Cliff II; nieces, Brittney Brothers and her husband Matt, and Jessica O’Neill and her husband Jim, and Amiriyah, Zhanae’, and Kalis Cliff.


David was a kind, creative, funny, and wildly intelligent man who loved Jesus and his family more than anything. He was skilled in many things but honed much of his talent in automotive work, serving as a quality engineer, and in photography, having earned his associate degree in photography from Nossi College of Art. He will be deeply missed until we meet in Heaven.


Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

It was great knowing you and working with you. We met at the FQC when you started there and the group embraced you as we spent out hours doing what we do best, parts! Your personality to always help others was sometimes a bit much curious but embracing and noble to see how you just wanted to be of service. Truly admirable! May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. David was multifaceted and a friend to many. I’m glad I can call him my friend. I met David through work at the Nissan FQC and he became a friend outside of work. I will miss his stories and laughter at work, bonfires and get togethers.
