Sincere condolences to the family. When I worked in Charlotte, DG was one of the nicest people I met. He and the late Paula Moore Tabor and I could laugh and talk over coffee for hours on end. Heaven is surely our eternal home. Love, Evelyn

I worked with D.G. in the 1986 campaign. He was the kindest most generous person. He taught me a little patience because he would not sign the letters to contributors, unless he added his very personal touch and he knew lots of his contributors personally.
