Dearest Martinez Family
My heart goes out to each of you. May you find comfort in knowing that the Lord is holding and hugging each of you with his tender warmth and love. David was such a sweetheart here at the U.S. Border Patrol surroundings. His contagious smile and kind words will always be remembered. We all were blessed having him in our lives!

To the Martinez Family
I had the pleasure of knowing David when he first began working with the Border Patrol while still in School. He turned out to be a true and dedicated employee and friend that I cherished very much. He has earned his wings and is now with God. Our prayers go out to your family so that you may find comfort and peace during this time of grief.

but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome...
