Not sure what to say?

Hi Darlene, It's been a month or so and I still can't believe he is gone. I always admired and thought of Dave as a good friend and a good employer even though he was not actually my boss. He was always so happy. My daughter was living in spokane and home sick when she went to the lilac parade and saw Dave coming down the street, she was so excited to see someone she knew, she ran out and gave him a hug. He never let me forget what a crazy daughter I had. Dale is missing him and all his...

Darlene, I was saddened to read about your loss. Know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I worked for Dave at the insurance office in Puyallup from 1984 - 1991. He was truly a great man to work, for I could not of asked for a better boss. I unfortunately was out of town and was unable to attend his funeral so I wanted to extend my sympathy to the family and let them know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. I will always have fond memories of Dave.

Dave will be missed by us and our family very much. We have some great memories of being together camping, card games, Daffodilians, and visiting us wherever we lived. We were so looking forward to seeing you when we came back in Sept. You were a great guy and a lucky guy to have had Darlene to be there for you. "Davey", "Dougie", and "Donnie", Deena, Debbie, and David send their love and prayers, too. We could go on forever talking about our fun times together couldn't we. We'll miss you.

You will be really missed at the Wahington State Apple Blossom Festival this year and all to come. We always looked forward to seeing you and Darlene every year. Not only in Wenatchee but at other festivals around the state. Years ago when I first met you I was amazed at what a small world it really is when you told me that you and my brother Don had been camping and socialized together back in the old days. I miss him dearly as Barb and I will miss you. Thanks for all the good times and...

Dave will be sorely missed. We first met Dave and Dena in 1974 when we were new Applarians. Dave was certainly bigger than life and will not be forgotten. Our deepest sympathy to Darlene, the boys, and all the family.
Sincerely, Ed and Joan

One of the funniest memories I have of Dave was at the Magnificent mutt show last April. Well of course Dave was there with thier shiny yellow beamer and of I guess Dave isn't as big of a dog fan as he is a "Dawg" fan, so while some of us girls were walking admiring that nice car we all noticed that someone Dave was sleeping in the front seat, so we had to take a picture. Well he made the hightlights tape with that picture :-). I always used to bug him about letting us drive his car! He...

DARLENE & FAMILY- As you know, Dave has been a very close friend for many years, mostly through the Daffodilians. But it started with the YMCA camp on Lake Tapps in the 1950s where he was a cabin councilor as a "teenage Dennis the Menace", and included UW Husky games (home, away, and Bowl Games), Daffodil road trips, dinners out together, and the infamous 9-11-2001 Husky Cruise from "Hell." We always had lots of fun and we will MISS him greatly. We thank Dave for all that he has done for...

I will never me able to think about the Daffodil Festival without thinking about Dave. He was always at the events with a smile on his face and a Cougar joke to give to us. He will be greatly missed and my condolences are with the entire McCallum family.
