Not sure what to say?

Dear Ellen,
Please accept our sincere condolences. What a loss for you, your family and for our community. We're sorry we were not able to attend his funeral, as we were out of town and just found out. Kindness is the trait I most admired about him. He will be missed. Please call if you need anything.
Sincerely,
The Graaff family

Ellen,
Please accept our deepest sympathy on your loss as we were unable to do so in person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Kate and Ellen.

Dear Mrs. McDevitt, Ellen, and Kate,

Please accept our deepest sympathies on the passing of your husband and father. Mr. McDevitt was a beautiful man and always showed me the greatest kindness and generosity. I am so sorry that I could not express these thoughts in person at his Wake, as we were out of town. Please be assured of our continued thoughts and prayers.

Yours,
Kurt, Laura, Connor, and Annie

To the McDevitt Family:

Dave was a dedicated FNS Person. I worked for him when he was the Child Nutrition Director in Burlington, MA. I respected him greatly and tried to follow in his footsteps. I will always remember the St. Patrick Day party at my house and the cookout at your home.

Sincerely,
Deborah Jean Rose

Dear Ellen:

Please accept our sincere sympathy. We would also appreciate it if you would pass on our sentiments to Ellen and Kate. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely, Frank & Joanne Weiss

It is with deep saddness that I write this note. David was the kindest, bravest man I have ever had the pleasure of calling a friend. Our times in Hershey,Pa playing golf were of great fun. But our recent experiences in Ireland were to say the least....the best. We will miss Dave...but he will be in our hearts always.

Ellen, Ellen and Katie

Working with Dave the last 13 years was a great honor. He was a great boss, but an even better FRIEND.

I witnessed the valiant battle Dave fought for the last four years and was always amazed at the courage and strength he showed. He was never down and always upbeat. The example he set in living his life and fighting this battle will never leave me. I feel privileged to have known Dave and will never forget him. He was one of the bravest...

Our deepest sympathy to your family for your loss of David. He was a fine man that we got to know the summer we visited Becky in Cape May. I'm sure the memories you have will console you during this trying time.
