Not sure what to say?

Dr. McKee was so important to our family. I was born in 1959 and lived in Forest Park and he saw me and my sister Kathy. Later on he saw, Kathy's son Joesph and my daughter Katie in 2003. He placed pictures of his patients on the wall. I couldn't believe it when I saw my picture on the wall back in 2003. He saw my daughter Katie in 2003 and had me take her to a specialist. She was diagnosed with autism when she was three. I never looked back and got her therapy. She is 24 this year...

I am sorry this entry is so late. I just learned of his death today at the office visit of my son, Quincy Williams. Dr. McKee was more than just my doctor, he was like a great uncle. You see he has been a paer of our family for three generations (or more). He was a good friend to my grand father and was my dad's doctor from birth until he was 18 and the same for me and now for my son. He will truly be missed and I hate that we are just finding out about his death. My son (now 4 years old)...

I had a typo in my story. At the end I meant to type "I am NOW trying to remember what he taught me" Instead of "I am not" Please excuse the typo. Having four young children has made me nuts at times!

Dr. Mckee and Annette saved my sweet little baby girl. She had RSV when she was just a week old and ended up having to stay a few nights in the hospital. She was so sick and although I never said this, I was truly scared I was going to lose her to this illness. It was a Friday morning this past December and Dr. Mckee put his hand on my shoulder and said "go straight to the emergency room and tell them she needs to be seen NOW, and don't let them make you wait even 5 minutes." So we were on...

We just learned today of Dr. McKee's passing and I feel as though I have lost an old dear friend! There is little I can say that hasn't already been said. David McKee was extraordinary! Thankfully, with 3 kids we have had no real health emergencies, but he listened, and along with good medicine he dispensed a dose of common sense, mixed with his own special sense of houmor, and you knew the kids would soon be feeling better. He will be dearly missed.

I was saddened to hear of Dr. McKee's passing. When I was a child,he was my pediatrician.I am now 45. Being African-American,I can attest to his true humanity. I will always remember him fondly and pray that this small note brings some comfort to his family.
May the peace of God rest with you.

To the family of Dr. McKee

Our family has just learned of the death of Dr McKee and we are so saddened. My daughter is 4 1/2 and my son is almost 3. We appreciated Dr McKee's follow up phone calls, his knowledge and his sense of humor! He helped me, as a new mother, as much as he helped my 2 young children! I feel priveledged to have had him as our doctor. He will be greatly missed. We love you and will miss you Dr McKee! Ruth, Caroline and Perry

My Mother sent me the obituary from the AJC in the mail. I'm very sorry to hear of his passing. Dr. McKee was my pediatrician for many years from his Buckhead practice. We drove from Marietta which at that time was a drive. I was allergic to just about everything when I was young but the good doctor helped me through it. Looking at the other messages that were left, it certainly says a lot about his dedication and love for the children. I have very good memories of him.

Sandy and McKee family(office family included)
I can't tell you of the sheer devastation that my family and I felt when we learned of Dr. McKee's death. Bobby will be 20 in Dec. and Andy 15 in October. They have never seen another doctor since they were born. Bobby recently got sick while away at college and called to see if he could come home to see Dr. McKee. I told him that I was sure a doctor there could give him some cold medicine. We live over an hour away, and I know I saw Dr....
