I extend my highest regards to the memory of Mr. McKim and wish to express my deepest condolences to his family during this difficult time. Mr. McKim held a special place in my heart as my favorite teacher, and his impact on my educational experience was amazing. My interactions with him were brief but left an indelible mark, as he proved to be the kindest and most endearing individual I have had the privilege to meet. He prioritized the success and well being of his students. His philosophy...

I am so grateful to have known Dave. Always happy. I would round the bend with my son's dog and delighted to see Dave standing near his open garage. He would have that great smile and always had some friendly or funny words. We would talk about life in MI (where I reside) with positive pride. Helena has lost an awesome human being. I will certainly miss him. Rest easy Dave.

Mr. Mckim was exactly the teacher I needed my freshmen year. He connected with his students and made his classroom an inclusive positive environment. He was the light inside of helena high. Showing kindness to all and bringing smiles and laughter. He will be missed.

Your heart soon will be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

Mr. Mckim was the first teacher I had that made me feel completely understood. my freshman year of high school was one of the tougher ones any of us have seen. he made light in the dark times and was there for every single student every time. I loved everytime we had lunch, bumped into each other unexpectedly, and all the times I knew I could find a hug in Mr. Mckim. we love you. we miss you.

Mr. Mckim was always great of making light out of the darkest things (literally during a power outage at the school). He stood at the end of the hallway in the science wing with those flashers that airline guides use and was guiding traffic making sure everyone knew where they were going and it was so awesome. As well as all the other times he would come running into our classrooms and just start yelling random things then run back out. Mckim was an amazing teacher!

My daughter said that David was the only teacher he really ever connected up with at Helena High...
