Not sure what to say?

Dave and I met somewhere back in 1987 or so. He was representing a Vision Company at the time and I was a prospective customer. We immediately hit it off and low and behold he ended up back at Delta Dental and I made the move there in 1990. While always good friends, we became even closer after my retirement in 2009 when he finally convinced me to join him and his childhood friends at the Amelia Island car show. He had been pestering me to attend for years! After much pressure, I relented...

I first really met David during a public bidding process nearly 30 years ago. After the bidders' conference in which I announced that Delta (as well as Blue Cross) were not renewed, the first knock on my Risk Manager's door was David. I fully anticipated that we might be sued and was surprised at his greeting: "You made the right decision. We haven't done a good job recently, we will be back and do better." That was the beginning of a friendship with David that has lasted nearly 30 years....

I first met Dave in 1963 in Germany while serving in the Army. We've gotten together numerous times since the to recall old times and enjoy the present ones. Dave's positive attitude, insidious smile, and refreshing honesty made him a great friend. We will miss him greatly. Love and prayers to you, Susie. May God bless and keep you and your family safe. Dave was a good friend who I have known since 1963. Our first meeting was in Germany where we served in the same Army unit. We have stayed in contact since that time. I remember Dave for many things but what first comes to mind was his smile and positive attitude. He was a great family man with strong faith. Diane and my prayers are with you Suzie and God bless you and your family Diane and Jack Brown

We have many fond memories of our years in the military together, and times together all through the years. You are in our prayers Susie and we love you as we did Dave. He was a great man of God and a friend to everyone. God bless you. Our love and prayers are with you, Shirley and Norm Grimmett

So many years of memories with my friend and colleague Dave, the man who loved people and lived to help others. Dave used to say with every person he met it was his goal to learn as much about them in whatever time he had with them, without spending any time talking about himself. He was a good friend to the very end and I´ll miss him dearly. Thank you for always listening Dave with an open heart. My deepest condolences to you Suzi, your children and grandchildren.

David was a very good friend and we shared being "Michiganders." David stood out from others, he was always so upbeat and positive, you could feel it every time you were with him. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, no matter what had to be dealt with. David had many different interests and he was always ready to learn something new. He was surrounded by a loving family. David will be missed but he will now have eternal life with his Heavenly Father and we will meet again.
