Not sure what to say?

Pastor McShane had a big influence in my life. I was a confirmed Presbyterian in 1968 at the downtown church in Kalamazoo. I was 15 years old. He was quite active in our confirmation classes!! He was Always in good mood and very spiritual cheery!! Those classes with God saved me Many times. Many times!! Pastor McShane helped get us through the murder of my brother Lon in 1980. I have remembered him Forever. God Bless. Mr. Lynn W. Frank

many a day when Ralph and I talk about Dave and his influence in good thinking. This is a lovely idea to remember him and the family. Barbara Jones/Ralph Jarl

WHEN THE SAINTS GO MARCHING IN. SO TOUCHED MY HEART AND THE REMEMBERING HOW DAVID JUST KEPT ON GOING IN WISDOM AND LAUGHTER. CELEBRATING ALL OF LIFE.

I "found" David when I was working on my family tree. We spoke through email, then David said that he and Beth were coming to Lincoln for his 60th high school reunion and we got together and drove around Lincoln and exchanged family information. We stayed in touch through email through the years. I had read an article that he had written about Loren Eiseley and we talked about that. He was surprised and I think a little bit pleased that I had seen the article. He and Beth were so wonderful. I...

We loved my uncle David and aunt Beth so very much. How very sad when I heard the news. They were incredible, interesting, innovative, intelligent, and loving-quite a combo. To my wonderful cousins, what a loss you must feel this year. My heart aches for you. Take comfort in their full lives, and the legacy they leave behind. Here they are on the Tennessee River, in one of the last of the vacations we shared.

To Kathleen and Family,
I am so sorry to hear about your loss.
I meant to reach out when I saw that your mother had passed, and time just got away from me.
The loss of both of them, so close together, leaves so much to be said when there are no words.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
I hope you find some peace and comfort in your memories of them.

Dave (and recently deceased Beth) McShane were extraordinary humans. For 26.5 years the McShane family were our back door neighbors. Reading his extensive obituary opened our eyes to even more dimensions than we aware of as neighbors. We have visited Friendship Village on a few occasions and he was still sharing a leadership role there. We extend the deepest sympathy to his surviving familyespecially to his wonderful daughter Joy. The loss to our community is challenging to quantify.
