Dave was a dear friend and super administrator at ECU.....His constant smile and fond hello will always be remembered.....Our sincere sympathy goes out to his children and family.

We've spent many happy occassions with David at both Happy Hours and Pig Days for the past 13 years. He was an inspiring man and will be greatly missed.

David was a kind and generous soul. He will be missed.

We loved being David's neighbor for the past 2-1/2 years. He welcomed us into the community and shared his good humor!

I wish to extend Condolences to the family. I first knew David when he was at ASU in Boone and I was with the State Dept. of Public Instruction. We had many contacts through the 1960-1980's in our respective responsibilites. I have many fond and cherished memories of our contacts. I regret that we have not been able to stay in touch in recent years. James Valsame

Jack was my cousin, and we always enjoyed getting together in Raleigh or at family reunions. He will be missed by a lot of relatives and friends.

David, a wonderful, sweet, intelligent, and funny man, is going to be so very missed in this community, and beyond. The planet seems to weigh less today.

We will all miss Jack.
