My sincerest condolences to Dave's family and friends. May his memory be a blessing and the pain of his loss softened in time by happy memories of his vibrant life and many contributions to the community. Dave and I worked together several years ago when the City of Vancouver was contemplating a no-tobacco use ordinance on city park properties. Dave was always a cheerleader for me. Soon after I heard of his passing, I found an email he sent to our department in 2006 during the holiday season. He was reminding us of our ability to shine bright amongst challenges that come our way. I enjoy working with his son Erik who is a shining example of his dad and who will carry on his torch in recreation. God bless your family.

I was so saddened to hear of Dave's passing. I thoroughly enjoyed my interactions and work with Dave. He was thoughtful, kind and persistent in his work to help others. My condolences to his personal family and his parks and recreation family. Dave - you will be missed my friend.

I too owe a lot of my recreation career to Dave as he approved my internship with Longview p&r back in June of 1989. After that he hired me part time and eventually hired me full time and I am still here! Dave was a really great guy and was a great boss. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

Dave Miletich was one of my most favorite people. I adored him. I give him all the credit for my career in Recreation. He gave me a chance in 1993, and I will forever be grateful to him. He was the kindest, most thoughtful, and humorous man and did all the right things, said all the right things and did life right. He loved his family so much.
