David Beckwith Miller Jr.

Dave and I fished together off the north Oregon Coast 2-3 times each summer - usually with John Alstadt or Jeff Sharff - aboard his beloved dory Sea Robin I and II.
He was a terrific captain and always brought us home safely.
They were adventurous times at sea - sharing our love of the ocean and its' bounty of silver and chinook salmon, as well as the thrill of launching off of, and returning, at full speed, to the beaches north of Gearhart.

I was a patient through the 1970's and 1980's.
Dr Miller was our SPECIAL friend. He hunted ducks with my late husband, Ervin VanDyke. He ate clam chowder at our house many times. (if I didn't put enough salt in it, he would go get the salt shaker :-)
Ellen, you were at my house for a 'duck hunting party'. We lived on a farm north of Forest Grove (Verboort) at that time. I moved to Hillsboro in 1999.
