Not sure what to say?

Dave! We all remember the incredible memories you created for us, and one the best role models of a man with character, selflessness, and honor. How many Eagle Scouts did you successfully help achieve their rank? Probably 200. You will always be remembered and your impact is limitless. Gerard Rotonda

I was one of Dave's scouts. Because I moved away, I finished my Eagle with another troop, but Dave left an indelible mark on me. I was lucky he could attend my Eagle court of honor.

One cannot overstate his commitment to scouting and to the generations of scouts he led. So much I know about service and character come from Dave.

I'll remember his positive attitude (not to mention silly puns) for the rest of my life.

1/5/2015 Yesterday, I told someone that I keep thinking of Dave. I was compelled to look at the online Progress. There he was. I didn't know. Dave was a consistent good man. He helped everyone. I knew Dave in the 1950's from the FDRC church days, church basketball, Warwick church Winter Retreat, showing us how to ring the FDRC bell. I remember him as the Sunday school organizer with Mr's Smith, Huttenstein, Zartmann. Dave led us in songs with his dry humor. He was a leader. He made...

With the highest of honor and respect, I salute Dave for his unmatched service to his Scouts, community, and family. We are all beyond grateful for the positive roles he played in our lives and for the lasting memories we will always share with him.

1977 Eagle Scout
Troop 7 - Fairfield

I recall many great memories as a scout with Dave in the 80s. He came into Stevenson school to show pictures if scouting and I was hooked right away. He was a great person and his influence has had impact on me and many. I loved the camp outs. He was a pure leader. Great citizen.

Went to school with Lorrie, Donald and David....I was a year ahead of him, but was impressed with how polite he always was and, thru the years, I heard nothing but good things about what he was doing with the scouts and the youth of the area. His Mom was my scout leader "back in the day". Condolences to sister Lorrie, a good friend of my sister Ida.

I've known Dave all my life as well as the rest of the Millson family and will surely miss him. He was a good person. My deepest condolences. John T Vreeland and family

Dave is quite possibly the most selfless person I have ever known. I have many wonderful memories of Scouting in the 1970s, and nearly 40 years later my friends and I still talk about our "epic" adventures on the Delaware River, Sandy Hook, Glen Gray, and of course our fond memories of David. We're all far better people and citizens for having known him.

Mr. Millison was a great man. Throughout my junior high and high school career he was a substitute teacher to many of my classes. I remember him telling me to start being thankful for what I've got and to stop thinking about what I don't have. I will do my best to keep those words with me. Thank you Mr. M! I know you're at peace.
