David George Molacek was born November 2, 1935 in Riceville Township, rural Callaway, MN to Anton and Christine (Maruska) Molacek. He was raised in rural Callaway and attended District 111 rural school through the 9th grade. He than attended the Crookston Agriculture School, graduating in 1953. David farmed with his father and brothers in rural Callaway until entering the Army in 1958. Following his discharge in 1962, he rejoined the family farm operation. David was united in marriage to Jacqueline Snead, February 16, 1963 in Robbinsdale, MN. They made their home near Callaway where they farmed until his death. David was a member of the Elks and the American Legion. He enjoyed farming and working the land. Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline of Callaway, a daughter: Christine (Todd) Boit of Detroit Lakes, two grandsons: Anthony and Alexander Boit and three great-grandsons: Braydon, Max and Mason Boit; three sisters: Viola Boatman in Wisconsin, MaryAnn Herberg in Minnesota and Nydia Lefebvre of Ogema, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers: Raymond, Joseph, Anthony, Leonard, Howard, Millard and Virgil and two sisters: Margaret and Rose Alice.
