Read MoreAs we grew up in Springfield, I remember David as being a quiet and gentle teen. He attended a boarding high school, so being younger, I didn't have a chance to know him well, but always enjoyed seeing him when we started our Montanus family reunions. I am sure you all miss him terribly.

I'm David's first cousin (though you might need that since I haven't seen all of you since the '90's.). I am so sorry to hear of David's death, and also of Colleen's. There is a growing list of cousins waiting to greet them in heaven. My sister Deb (who lived in Dayton) kept up with your parents, but she passed away in May, 2020. I am so glad David was surrounded by his loving family. My heart goes out to all of you.

My condolences to the Montanus family. Colleen and Dave were very good friends of my parents and they were particularly good to my father after the death of my mother. Special people who are now reunited and remembered here fondly.
