To the Mooij Family,
We are so sorry to hear about the passing of Dave. I was fortunate to meet Dave while serving on the Neptune School Board. Dave was always professional and considerate of each board member's opinion. He truly was a gentleman's gentleman. His love of education was evident in all he did for the youth of Neptune. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Rest in peace Dave.

Claudia and Children,
As I prepare to attend the memorial service for Dave, I cannot help but reflect upon the countless times Dave and I shared family stories and bragged about out children, worked to come up with creative solutions to school issues, and experienced the true emotions of friendship and respect. Dave's strong faith, love of his family and the Neptune School District have left a legacy that we should all strive to replicate. May his family continue to thrive as a result of...

Our deepest sympathies on the passing of Mr. Mooij - he was my gymnastics and swim coach. He was a wonderful man - tough, but always fair. I think about him often and how he pushed us for excellence . . . something I strive for every day because of him.

Claudia~The Neptune Community and School District shares in your loss. May you find comfort in your memories and by the rich legacy at the shore continued by David. We will work hard to bring the vision for our students and community forward.

Mooij Family, We have lost an incredible educator and student advocate who governed the Neptune School District in a manner that celebrated his Christian values everyday. Claudia, may you and the children be comforted with a peace that passes all understanding. Your Canadian cousins are thinking of you and praying for you all. We know we will see David again. May we honour him by continuing to live as he did, with integrity, faith and love.

So sorry for your families loss, he was such a wonderful person to speak with. Always happy to see you when you said hello and was wonderful with all the children that came across his path. We will keep you all in our prayers.
