I am very sorry for your loss of Cal. My thoughts of love and prayers are with you today as you say good bye. I can't be there with you but all of you will be in my heart today. I will remember the laughs and fun I had with you two up north.

When we were about 11 years old Dave and I were best buddies having grown up in the same neighborhood and went to grade school together. We all used to hang out at Bob (Girdle) Geurt's filling station where Gary worked. At that time a guy named Cal Spice was sheriff of Outagamie County and for some reason Girdle started calling Dave "Cal". The name stuck. We've been out of touch for many years now but I was saddened to here of his passing. My sympathies to Cal's whole family, especially Gary...
