My senior year of college, I was an intern for Dave when he was at Marion Bass, in Charlotte... I just happened to be checking South Cap's website to do a quick check in on Dave and was floored by the news.

Dave was a fantastic guy. Always positive, upbeat and caring. Definitely someone who was willing to teach, mentor, and help you get ahead. I am grateful for the time I spent getting to know Dave and learned a great deal from him, professionally and personally.

I just heard about Dave's passing today. Sara, I offer my prayers to you and your family. Dave was an amazing guy. He was the first person I met on my first day at UNCG. he was a great roommate, although I could do without the constant REO Speedwagon he played ;) He is missed.

A couple weeks after Dave passed I was going through a box of old papers (we just moved) and found notes from a meeting with Dave when I had just graduated from college and wanted to get into gaming. He helped make introductions that got my into the industry. Five years later when I was in business school and was trying to get into venture capital, Dave helped me again and now I work in VC and am a Kauffman Fellow. I only hope that I can "pay it forward" and make half the difference that...

We just recently heard the very sad news of your husband David's passing. Words cannot express the deep sorrow I and all of your tradeshow friends and family feel at this time. May you continue to find strength in our thoughts, our prayers, and the comfort of God's grace, Sara.

I worked with Dave during our days at Interactive Magic. To me Dave was one of the finest persons I ever met and whom I will never forget. I am thankful that I was able to get to know such a great guy!

Prayers for Sara & the Murray family. I remember the good times I had working for Dave at iMagic, how dedicated he was, great sense of humor - he always set a positive example.

Sara, Michelle & I are so sorry to hear of Dave's departure. I'm sorry we weren't there recently to see you in person. We pray that God and your family and friends will give you comfort during this incredibly hard time.
