Not sure what to say?

Dear Karen, Dick and I extend our sympathies to you and your family. It was always enjoyable for us when our paths crossed. Dave was helpful to me when I decided to leave the Mpls. City Council. We talked and he provided helpful suggestions for next steps. Take care, Joan and Dick Niemiec

Karen : I ran into John Pacheco over the weekend . He told me of David's passing. I had not heard and was stunned to hear that this world of of ours would no longer benefit from David's presence. David was first my employer, then my mentor then my friend. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have talked,( and yes, he could talk) laughed ( and what a great laugh he had) , worked ( always for others) and played ( raquetball in particular) with David. He was an inspiration to all he...

I had the honor and the privilege of working with Dave and becoming his friend from 1981 until his retirement. Dave was a pioneer in food banking, and was one of the very first Food Industry folks to see the vision, and to advocate with his peers that "donate, don't dump" should be an industry wide policy. Today, Feeding America is one of the top ten charities in the U.S., but back then Dave was one of very few pioneers when almost no one even knew what a food bank was. Personally, he helped...

I want to thank his family because Mr. Nasby helped me turn my life around. He taught me about true Christian Love and Forgiveness. I was at the funeral but because of my disability I could not make it into the building. But you have my deepest sympathy. Thank you for everything Mr. Nasby did for my brother Charles and I. God Bless & Thank you Karen and Teddy.

Karen,
We are so sorry that we was not able to attend Dave's funeral and celebration of his life. We just learned today of Dave's passing. Please accept our condolences. Our memories of Dave go all the way back to the mid 60's at Advent Lutheran Church. Our memories of those days aren't as clear these days as they were in the past, but I believe you were already working at the Church when Dave arrived. I remember that almost immediately everyone at Church thought that you and he would make...

"Without question, the hunger relief system both in Minnesota and nationwide would not be what it is today were it not for the ingenuity, compassion, hard work, and humanity of David Nasby". (Rob Zeaske, Hunger Hero Award ceremony) With deep gratitude for Dave's humanitarian spirit - Grant Wacker

David was a well respected colleague in corporate philanthropy and an all around good guy. Smart, thoughtful and caring. He will be missed. Chris Park

Dear Karen,

I am so sorry that your wonderful partner has passed. Having David at Trinity Lutheran, meant I had somebody comical to tease and be teased by! I have missed that!

His great intelegence added much to our church body. And you like me, had a man that liked to cook. Bless you now in this time of loss.

Love you all, Kim and Burt

Our prayers are with David's Family. He has passed from this world and gone to be with our Lord. We will keep you in our prayers.
Love, Rog & Adele
