David Newman

David was my friend though we never met listened to him on the sales road and at home made me feel like my best friend. Great insight and and was my movie guru....RIP Mark Wludyka

I listened to David almost every day for decades and we became personal friends because of our common interest in films, music, books and politics. We became golf partners. He came to my house to visit and I saw him and Vicki at his home. After his stroke, he became more reclusive and distant and our relationship atrophied. I miss his brilliance, even his annual japes on April Fool's Day. He is irreplaceable.

David Newman was a brilliant man - there was no one like him on the radio. I miss him to this day.

All these years I wondered what happened to David Newman after he had a stroke. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He was one of a kind- the best radio talk show-- hands down: he was brilliant--- so different than any of the others and there will not be another like him- Rest in peace Mr. Newman.

David Newman - one of my all time favorite radio hosts. Brilliant. I have missed him on the radio since hearing of his stroke - many years ago now. A Detroit Radio Legend - one of a kind and simply irreplaceable. He will be missed. I will never forget his radio show featuring Invasion of the Body Snatchers - David Newman style. A true radio trailblazer and genius.
