Not sure what to say?

Meeting David was a highlight of my travels 40 years ago. Our shared love of Ernie Pyle's writing was a deep connection. Sad to hear of his passing.

Hello, Mary Pat, I just saw the notice of David´s passing in the Bishop Dwenger mailing. My deepest condolences to you and your family. David was an original thinker and I loved that about him. He just filled those high school hallways with his smile and his "serious" thoughts!! You have my prayers. Marilyn Fernandez Meulemans Kennedy.

My condolences. From somebody who has never met this man, nor heard of him, let me just say that reading this makes him sound like an absolute wonderful man inside and out. What a fun life he must have lived! I am sorry I never met him. I will be praying for his beautiful family. This is the most beautiful obituary I have ever read. God bless!

So Sorry to hear about Dave´s passing. We grew up together thru St. Charles, Cub and Boy Scouts. His mom and my mom were friends till the end. Prayers for the family

We wanted to take our stories seriously in the way Sophocles, Homer, and Seferis took theirs. We both lived downtown in the...

I was shipping some packages to a customer overseas and filling out the paperwork.Meanwhile my lovely wife noticed this guy over at the other corner fumbling with the computer and paperwork asking the UPS service person several questions. Noticing he was struggling ,my wife asked"Can I...

So sorry to read this, what an awesome guy

Mary Pat I am so sorry for your profound loss... what a beautiful obituary! You and the girls are in my prayers
