Not sure what to say?

I'm so glad that you were in my life for many years. I have many fond memories which ill always cherish. I will miss you but you'll always be in my heart. Rest in peace my friend xoxo Tracey

On behalf of the Health Libraries Association of BC, I want to extend sincerest sympathy to David's family and friends. David was a founding member of HLABC in 1977, he served as its second president in 1979-80, and he was honoured as a Lifetime Member upon retiring from BCCA in 2002. He was dedicated to developing the BCCA Library as a vital professional service not only to clinical and research staff but also to patients and family members. Such service to patients is widespread now, but...

Sarah,
My condolences to you and your family. I remember your dad always with a smile and a kind word for all. I know he will be missed by many.
Take care,
Lyn

My deepest sympathy to the Noble family; I lost my husband suddenly about a year ago and know how devastating such a loss is. I knew David as a health librarian all the time he was in charge of the library at the BC Cancer Agency. His professionalism, quiet determination, dedication and knowledge were recognized by all, patients, fellow staff members and library friends and peers alike. David, it was a privilege to know you. It is with great sadness we mourn your loss.

I worked with David for many years at BC Cancer Agency. David was well known for his attentiveness to both staff and patient needs and requests. David was quite literally out of his chair and at the counter to greet patients and colleagues who entered the library. He was proud of his work and of the services provided by the library and created a culture whereby anyone who came to the library would feel safe, supported, accepted and indeed special. I will always remember David fondly for his...

Although shocked and saddened to learn of his passing, I smile when I remember working with David for so many years. A dedicated man who loved his job and built a real team colleagial friendly atmosphere. His contribution was huge. I remember we used to chat about his SciFi latest books. I extend my thoughts and heartful prayers to his family and close friends at this time.

My heartfelt sympathy to David's family. I met with David in "his" library several times over the years (to learn from the master). David was so knowledgeable and always so willing to share his wisdom with other health librarians. He was instrumental in helping BC health librarians and libraries (and BC patients and families) make such great progress over the last 2-3 decades. We will miss David terribly. My condolences to you.

I worked with David at the BC Cancer Agency when he was the chief librarian and after his "retirement" through the Agency's website enquiries which come from all over the world. I feel privileged to have worked with one of the most dedicated and compassionate professionals I've ever seen. I shall miss him.

I was deeply saddened to hear of David's passing. David and I worked closely over the eleven years I was at the BC Cancer Agency. He was very dedicated to the Agency but particularly to providing patients and staff with the information they needed. At his retirement dinner staff spoke very highly of David's dedication. He was noble in name and service.
