David Morgan North

I fondly recall Dave at AvWeek during our overlapping years covering military matters in D.C. He was always a ray of sunshine in what some days could be a pretty grim place. My condolences to his family.

Dave was a kind, professional manager for which I had the privilege to work for as one of his administrative assistants back in the 90s. He would always identify himself when calling with his full name, "Dave North!" His voice always carrying a smile. It was my privilege to work with him. Dave, fly high with the wind beneath your wings!

It was a true honor and privilege to shake Mr.Norths hand. I knew I was in the presence of someone special. MRYC. RMH.

I met him a few times. He was an example to all of us who were aspiring to become aerospace journalists

Even as Dave was very much a realist, he turned away any expressed negativity with a positive word & his charisma. He was unassuming, even as he was a true man of the world. He leaves us all richer for knowing him, for he was generous in spirit and soul.
