David M. Oakland

It seems so long since David passed and yet I remember him so well. Wherever he is now, I hope his days are joyous - he deserves it.

I think of David often - with love. My deepest sympathies remain with his family and closest loved ones.

and especially my heart goes out to James who was lucky to share his life with such a beautiful soul.

My father at Congress Lake just told me about David's obituary in the Beacon Journal. What a loss I am for words! We "grew up" together at Congress Lake when David and his family moved there while we were in high school, took piano lessons together in Canton, and went to Lake High School. We could wear the same size pants, and often I borrowed his. David and I created the ever famous "One Prom to Live" morning soap opera at prom time, and went to our senior prom together in 1976, in...

David was one of my dearest high school friends and I am so saddened by this news. I will always remember him as a kind, compassionate, very funny supportive person with an infinite supply of love for all creatures in his heart. His creativity and vision was inspiring to me even then-- and I will have him in spirit with me always.Love to Ted, Sybal & Steve.

I am touched and saddened to hear of the loss of David, formerly Davy to me. We lived on the lake and traveled to Florida together. I was his baby sitter so many years ago in the beginning of what sounds like an amazing life. Ted and Sybal, I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I had known him as the person he became and not just the baby I took care of.

Let me express my deepest sympathy in the loss of David. It has been several years since I have seen him, but there has always been and will always be a special place in my heart for him. David was a kind, caring and loving person. He had a great ability to make you smile and feel as if you were the most important person in the world. David, I know you are watching over us and I will miss you.

Jim & family; My thoughts and prayers are with you all. What a loss. I recall many fond moments and experiences with David and, you, Jim. David's accomplishments will touch many lives and ignite talent for years to come.

What a wonderful, creative and intelligent person David was, and what a pleasure to work with as well. He was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. He will be greatly missed - we are sorry to lose such a friend.
