Pop-pop... I wish you could be here for everyone. We all miss you so much!!! I know dad misses having you to talk sports with. Especially with all the drafting in the NBA happening. I hope I'm a good substitute for him though. I know that no one could ever replace you but, I still hope I'm a good substitution for my dad. Just thinking about you when we went to Publix the other day. I remember how you always bought food from there for Sunday dinner. I can never forget your special area where you would always park. I miss even just the little things about you. Like your choclate chip cookies you made us every week. No one makes better cookies than you. Not even dad:).

On this Flag Day and on the eve of Father's Day I am saddened by the remembrance that 5 years ago today I lost my Father... this was the toughest day and period of my entire life as he went through so much over a set of months and we had to make the toughest and right decision to let him go. I appreciate all the support we had at the time and have received since his passing. He was a truly special person to a lot of people, he had a heart of gold and was such an accomplished and driven...

Just thinking about you as I watch the Florida Gators hopefully clinch a national title for softball. Makes me think of the times we used to tease my dad about the gators being better than the Yankees. That is SO true
