Not sure what to say?

We were having an alumni party of former IDEC employees in San Diego when someone told us of Dave's passing. I always remember Dave's dedication to his work and co-workers and his great sense of humor. He will be missed.

Dave and I worked together a few years ago and kept in touch. He was a gentle person, and will be missed. Please accept my condolences.

My condolenses and heartfelt sympathy goes out to Dave's family. I had the pleasure of working with Dave at Stanford many years ago and remained friends long after we both left. He fought a hard battle and I will treasure my last conversation with him around Christmas time. He sounded so upbeat and optomistic. Goodbye dear friend. Love to your family.

My prayers and sympathy for Dave's family. As consultants at Raven Biotech, we became colleagues. Dave was very genuine, personable, and trustworthy. He was additionally instrumental in coordinating biotech professional network mixers where many of us would meet periodically at a Mexican Restaurant in Palo Alto. I will maintain very positive memories of Dave, not only as a top notch professional colleague but even more importantly - as a really good person.

My sympathies to Dave's family. Dave and I worked together 20 years ago, and it was a pleasure to keep in touch these years since then. Dave was the single-handed driving force behind the Bay Area Biotech Happy Hours that kept the biotech networking going. I will hold dear my memories of Dave's kindness, sharp wit, and good humor.

My deepest condolences for Dave's passing. I worked with Dave over a period of several years on the development of a cancer therapeutic. Dave not only provided technical expertise, he set an example for remaining focused and working calmly in the face of high pressure timelines and limited resources. Dave had a gift of being able to drive colleagues toward success, and to do so with a soft, compassionate touch. Together with Dave's expert guidance we successfully entered the therapeutic into...
