Johnson Funeral Home - Lake Charles Obituary

David Alan Pate, 50, of Moss Bluff, LA passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.  David was born in Fordyce, AR on February 9, 1968 to David and Brenda Pennington Pate.


David was a graduate of Sam Houston High School and McNeese State University.  He also attended Louisiana State University.  David worked as a dealer at the Isle of Capri.  He was a magician and enjoyed Sci-Fi movies and video games.


Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter Isabel Pate and his parents.  He also leaves his sister Angela (David) Webb, along with numerous nieces and nephews.


The family will receive friends on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff, LA from 5-8PM.  Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 9-11AM with a funeral service beginning at 11AM, officiated by Rev. Marcus Wade.  Burial will be at Westlake Memorial Park under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.

I am so sorry to hear of Dave's passing, We had some great times together growing up. I couldn't have asked for a better set of friends as a teenager and Dave was one of them. I remember the truck he had that would backfire exactly 10 seconds after it was shut off, all of the time we spent working at Godfather's pizza, taking corners in his Fiat X1/9, getting pulled over and finding out that his Mom was the police dispatcher, So many funny memories that I will cherish even more now.
