David Stuart Patten

David and I worked together for Bob Houde at SAS for a couple of years. We both left at about the same time; I started a travel agency, and David visited and was interviewed by my dad, who opened the St. Paul office of Merrill Lynch in 1941 and managed it until 1970. We had good times together. We spent a lot of time swapping war stories about the agencies we served. I remember a training visit in Queens when we went to a West Side Story cast party. I was truly saddened to learn of Dave's passing. He was a great mentor to me and the reason I got into this business. I will always have fond memories of him as a truly caring individual. I new Dave when we were youngsters

Texaco. We ended up renewing an old friendship when Dave came to Edina-Morningside for our senior year. He will be greatly missed by all. My heartfelt condolences and best
