David James Patton

David James Patton, age 53, lost his long battle with Huntington's Disease, Tuesday February 18, 2020 at his home in Huntsville, Texas.

David was born February 16, 1967 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Annetta "Gail" Mitchell of Spring, Texas and the late Thomas J. Patton. He was the oldest boy of 8 siblings: Donna Tirey of Huntsville, Texas, Patricia Chapman of Milford, Ohio, Linda Patton of Spring, Texas, Teresa Long (preceded in death), Michelle Abrego of Magnolia, Texas, Angela Bremkamp of Huntsville, Texas and Richard Mitchell of Spring, Texas.

David Married Michelle Collie September 15, 1990 and had three boys. He was a mechanic by trade and loved NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt.  He enjoyed going to concerts and motor-sports of all kinds. Dave was loved by many. He was known to be a people person. He never met a stranger. For the last 20+ years he has been battling Huntington's Disease with the last 7 keeping him at home with his sisters, Donna (who also battles HD) and Angi who cared for him. He enjoyed watching the History Channel, especially Accident Aliens.   

David leaves behind his mother and step-father, Richard and Gail Mitchell; his wife, Michelle Patton; sons, Aaron Spratley, Joseph Patton and Jacob Patton; grandson, Aiden Patton and daughter-in-law, Larissa Patton. He is also survived by  his brother, Richard Mitchell; 5 sisters, Donna, Patty, Linda, Michelle and Angi,  19 nieces and nephews (except for TJ Paton whom preceded him in death), 18 great-nieces and nephews and 5 great-great- nieces and nephews.  Dave will be missed by all of his family.

The family will receive friends for a visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2020 at Conroe United Pentecostal Church, 1612 Odd Fellow Street, Conroe, Texas 77301. Arrangements have been entrusted to Claire Brothers Funeral Home, 7901 Hillcroft Street, Houston, Texas 77081.
