Not sure what to say?

I worked with Dave. We would have friendly battles about who got to do the hard work. But if the work was dangerous. Dave took over. I'll miss Dave. Wishing your family the best.

Lorna, I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Dave. Though Dave had what I considered a very challenging life, he was always upbeat and never complained. He truly lived life to the fullest. I am so grateful to have known this wonderful, gentle man and the opportunity to have witnessed firsthand how a man should love and care for a woman. The community has lost one of its very best. He was so well thought of by all who knew him and he will be long remembered for all the good works he did....

Dave was such an amazing and courageous man. In one of the last conversations I had with Dave, his biggest concern was not losing his battle with this cancer, but of the fact that he would not be there for Lorna.

Craig and I so appreciated not only Dave's friendship but also his willingness to help us out with any repairs to our house. Craig was in awe of Dave's talent in repairing items and also his ability to create and build beautiful things for their house.

It was a...

So sorry to hear about Dave's passing.
My sincere condolences to you and your family.

Dave was one remarkable man. He was sick for so many years but still kept working, fishing, traveling only to name a few.
I am so impress with the cat box he designed. I do want to to see that one.
He had such a knack for humming birds. I would listen to what he did to get so many birds. I never had the same luck. It was not unusual to see 50,60 or more fighting and all trying to eat. It was always a treat to watch that. The birds will be waiting for you when you get home. Safe...

Steve and I have had the pleasure of being a part of Dave, Lorna and Jenifer's lives even before there was a Jenifer. We have never known anyone as hardworking and determined as Dave. He was so young and active when he battled his first cancer. It didn't slow him down. Dave found things he could enjoy and didn't belabor the things he couldn't. He was determined to live life to the fullest. So many challenges, so many changes in what he could enjoy, all done so matter of factly. Dave set an...

I met David Persing when he married Lorna in 1968. Dave had just completed his Vietnam era military service and I was just beginning my military service.
In 1972 I was hired as a general laborer at SDG&E. Dave was an electrician lineman at Rose Canyon center. Dave would kindly introduce me to his 'established co-workers' realizing I was nervous and insecure as a new entry level employee. He helped my confidence in my first full time job experience other than my military years.
